PETALING JAYA: She was not feeling well and went to the hospital seeking treatment, but doctors suspected something amiss when they found signs she had recently given birth. Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Chong Kok Sin said a 24-year-old woman sought treatment for a fever at the emergency department of Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. “The patient then admitted to giving birth on July 19 at her home in Sungai Besi, and said that that the child was stillborn,” said ACP Chong. She was seven months’ pregnant at the time, he said, adding that the suspect’s boyfriend then buried the body in some bushes near her home. The case is currently being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code, for concealment of birth by secret disposal of the dead body.
