The talented singer and songwriter’s gesture on social media has given Hearts of Oak’s drive to popularise their Umbro kits across the world a real shot in the arm. Wale is a massive character on Ghanaian social media space commanding 1.9 million followers on Twitter with a verified handle and has close to 800,000 Facebook page likes. On instagram the multiple-award winning singer dubbed Dancehall King has 2.4 million followers. Wale is not the first Ghanaian artist to pose in the famous Hearts of Oak replica as Ghanaian pop singer Kwesi Arthur has previously done so and declared his affection for the 2000 African champions.
