Sharjeel Memon's health 'deteriorates' in Karachi jail
The former minister was arrested in Rs5.76bn graft scam from outside SHC last monthPakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Inam Memon’s health suddenly “deteriorated” at Karachi’s Central Jail on Thursday, prompting a medical checkup. According to jail superintendent Hasan Sehto, the former information minister has severe back pain and fever, saying doctors had been sought to attend to him, Express News reported. The minister is accused of involvement in Rs5.76 billion government advertisements graft scam. He kept sitting inside the court premises as his lawyer exhausted all legal options to save him from being arrested. Read full story
