Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan al-Qasimi was reported to be 39. His father, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, and other Emirati officials took part in the funeral procession as flags flew at half-mast. Sheikh Khalid was the founder and creative director of a fashion brand, QASIMI, which debuted his collection in 2008. According to the label’s website, Sheikh Khalid was born in the United Arab Emirates and grew up in the United Kingdom.
