Sharda University students clash with staff over admit card

Students of Sharda University clashed with the campus security and university staff on Saturday afternoon in a protest against the university’s decision to deny them admit cards for the upcoming examination. The university management called the police helpline 100 for immediate intervention but refused to lodge a case against students. Students alleged that the university management has added a ‘student benefit fund’ clause to the undertaking under which all erring students have to pay ₹10,000-₹30,000. We have decided to let them appear in the exams by signing the undertaking,” said Ajit Kumar, spokesperson, Sharda University. “I assured students that a committee will be formed, which will be represented by both students and the university management, to probe the allegations levelled by students.
