Sharad Yadav +NEW DELHI: The JD(U) on Saturday removedas the party's leader in Rajya Sabha , citing "anti-party activities" by the senior leader as the reason behind the dismissal. "(The move) was important due to Yadav's recent actions. Nitish also suspended MP Ali Anwar from the parliamentary party group on Friday for participating in the meeting of Opposition parties convened by former alliance partner Congress On Friday, Nitish met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi , his first visit in Delhi since breaking away from the grand alliance comprising RJD and Congress last month. It was widely reported that BJP president Amit Shah has invited Nitish to join the ruling NDA given their freshly-minted coalition in Bihar.Meanwhile, Sharad Yadav is on a three-day tour of Bihar to connect with the people of the state. He had openly criticized JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar's political gymnastics, saying he had betrayed the mandate of the state's 11 crore people by joining hands with the BJP.While addressing a public meeting in Muzaffarpur on Thursday, Yadav had categorically said, "I stand with the mahagathbandhan (grand alliance).... Sarkari JD(U) is with Nitish Kumar, while the original party is with me."
