Sharad Pawar, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday. The NCP chief later said he spoke to Modi about the attaching of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's properties by the Enforcement Directorate. Hours ago, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took custody of former Maharashtra home minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh. Another NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik is also behind bars. The country's prime minister and the national president of a party can meet over developmental works.
