Cignal has promoted Shaq Delos Santos from assistant to head coach of the HD Spikers. “Congratulations to Shaq Delos Santos on being officially appointed as the head coach of the Cignal HD Spikers,” the team wrote. Delos Santos was assistant to Edgar Barroga whose contract with the team was not renewed 10 months ago. Delos Santos, a former national coach of the Philippine women’s team, will take the helm in steering Cignal to the championship in Premier Volleyball League (PVL) set to open in May at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna. Lucia, Chery Tiggo and F2 Logistics as teams who left the Philippine Superliga (PSL) for the PVL.
