Shanghai bourse revamps benchmark index for the first time in 30 yearsThe Shanghai Stock Exchange revised the SSE Composite Index on Wednesday for the first time in 30 years, by including 25 tech companies listed in the NASDAQ-style STAR Market, and kicking out 91 high-risk firms. The index was launched on July 15, 1991. It finished slightly higher on Wednesday at 3,333.16, up by 0.37 percent.
