Shanghai Boy granted bail and undergoes quarantine

Businessman Kwok Wing-hung, better known as "Shanghai Boy," has been released on bail following a 48-hour detainment since last Sunday, when the alleged gangster returned from Europe after two-and-a-half years on the run. Kwok, 61, has been wanted after absconding in April 2018. Apart from jumping bail, he faces two counts of conspiracy to wound with intent, one for conspiracy to criminal damage and another count of criminal intimation. Kwok was released from the airport police station at around 7 pm today and will undergo quarantine at a hotel. He was swooped at around 9.39 pm last Sunday upon his arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport from Bangkok.
