CHRIS MCKEEN/STUFF Whangarei candidate Shane Jones says he never lobbied Winston Peters or NZ First board members for a high list spot. FAIRFAX NZ NZ First MP Pita Paraone stood aside in the Whangarei seat so Shane Jones could have a run at it. Peters said Jones was in a "tremendous position" and is higher than other members who have made a comeback in the past.
