'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker Shakira has finally laid her tax fraud case to rest. Shakira through her legal team cut a plea deal in the case and agreed to pay millions in fines. The mother of two was handed a a fine of $7.6 million inclusive of the taxes, plus interest. Prosecutors wanted more than double the fine that she was slapped with plus jail time for the star. She was accused of failing to pay $15.8 million in taxes between 2012 and 2014 and set to receive a suspended 3-year sentence.
