Shahed was brought to the court premises from Khulna at 11:41am on Wednesday under tight security. He was produced before the court by the investigating officer of the case Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezaul Karim of Rapid Action Battalion 6 (RAB-6) at 11:49am. Also Read- ACC files case against Shahed, Chisty for Tk2.71 cr embezzlementEarlier on July 15, the RAB arrested an armed Shahed on the bank of Labangaboti canal in Komarpur village under Satkhira's Debhata upazila around 5am, while he was trying to flee across the border to India. After the arrest, RAB-6, CPC-1 Deputy Additional Director (DAD) Nazrul Islam lodged a case under Section 19A of the Arms Act of 1878 and Section 25B/A of the Special Powers Act 1974 the following night. On July 26, the court granted investigating officer Rezaul Karim a 10-day remand for questioning Shahed.
