Counties that owe the Coast Water Services Board must pay their debts for water companies to continue supplying residents with the commodity, Water PS Fred Sigor has said. Kwale Water executive Hemed Mwabudzo said the debts have greatly affected water supply in major towns in the last month. The PS spoke to journalists outside Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya's office on Tuesday before commissioning a Sh20 million water project funded by the Water Service Trust Fund. The PS was with Water Services Trust Fund chairman Musikari Kombo and CEO Ismail Fahmy. Mwabudzo added that the water firm struggles to pay past debts on electricity, bulk water, to the Kenya Revenue Authority and suppliers.
