William David Smith made secret recordings at Manchester's Trafford Centre, as well as at Darwen Leisure Centre and sunbed shops across Lancashire. The pervert was eventually snared after a teenage girl caught him as he attempted to film her in a leisure centre, but none of his other victims have ever been identified. The 31-year-old used a specially adapted mobile phone covered in black tape to film women and children getting changed in adjoining cubicles. The court heard that the incident was reported to leisure centre staff and Smith was identified and traced using CCTV.
