Billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman nearly seven years ago, according to a police report that was made public this week. According to the report, which the paper obtained through a public records request, the woman immediately told a friend and her boyfriend about what happened but didn’t go to police until more than a week later. Prosecutors ultimately declined to pursue the case, citing a lack of supporting evidence. Cuban has denied that such an incident took place and declined further comment when reached by HuffPost by email on Wednesday. “I’ll just repeat very strongly that it didn’t happen,” he stated, stressing prosecutors’ inability to find supporting evidence.
