more-inKOCHI: The police busted a city-based sex racket, which was functioning from a rented flat near the Kaloor Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, and arrested five persons, including two women, here on Saturday. The arrested were identified as Idukki native Sebin (30), Saji Varghese (39), a resident of Murikkasseri, Manjusha (36), and Sajitha (32), both hailing from Marayur, and broker Ramesh (42), a native of North Paravur. The police said that the arrest of a few youths in drug peddling cases led them to the sex racket. The members of the racket were taken into custody after the police tracked the phone call records of one of the accused in the drug peddling case. The racket members rented out a flat in the guise of a family and used to take customers to the flat by introducing them as relatives.
