Davisson didn't whittle — he didn't even have a pocket knife with which to whittle. But the underground vault he claimed to spend hours contemplating did end up being the largest time capsule in the world. Trish Davisson Johnson, Davisson's daughter, is responsible for opening the capsule. There are two components to the time capsule — the underground vault and the pyramid he built over the vault years later. Inside the pyramid, Davisson put what he described as "an old beater of a Toyota."
