Landlines, internet and mobile services throughout Southland were down on Saturday night due to bad weather further north. The outage affected most Spark and some 2degrees customers, but connectivity was restored for most Invercargill residents by 9am on Sunday. The outage affected all Spark users south of Ashburton.
