Several people come forward to claim ownership of dog who took train to Dublin

Several people have come forward to claim ownership of Hamish, the dog who was found on a train at Heuston Station. The dog was found on the 8.46am Sallins-Heuston service on Wednesday, after reportedly getting on at Sallins station. His plight went viral when Irish Rail posted on its twitter account: “Anyone lost their dog? He was found on the 08:46 Sallins - Heuston. Unfortunately he had no collar or microchip, but Irish Rail spokesman Barry Kenny said he has a distinguishing feature which his owner will recognise.
