Seven pedestrians were hit by vehicles within one hour in separate incidents Thursday morning. Paramedics told the Star the incidents seemed to come in “all at once,” due to “irresponsible” drivers and pedestrians. “Some (pedestrians) are walking around in all dark clothing, with their headphones in, and hoods up,” a paramedic spokesperson said. A teenage boy, 13, was walking near Midland Ave. and Lawrence Ave. E. was struck and suffered serious injuries, paramedics said. On the other side of the city, a man in his 40s was struck near Keele St. and Eglinton Ave. W. and has since been transported to a trauma centre in serious condition.
