That seven drunk drivers were caught at the weekend has disappointed Dunedin police. A 24-year-old man recorded a breath alcohol level of 477mcg when stopped in Kildare St, Waikouaiti, at 3.40am on Saturday. They caught a 21-year-old man in Owaka Valley at 10am, who recorded 293mcg, and a 29-year-old man who recorded 648mcg. At 2am on Sunday, a 29-year-old woman was stopped in Hillside Rd after running a red light. About an hour later, a 19-year-old woman was stopped after being spotted weaving in Princes St. She recorded 508mcg.
