Divine coincidence: the presence of what appeared to be seven nuns at Seven Sisters station in north London caused heads to turn yesterday BEN PATEY/SOUTH WEST NEWS SERVICEIt was a photo opportunity that made several commuters perform double takes yesterday: the divine sight of seven nuns waiting for the next service at Seven Sisters Tube station. Ben Patey, 33, captured a widely-shared snap of the women from Ware Carmelite Monastery, calling it a “strange but amusing” stroke of luck. “It’s certainly not something you see every day,” he added. According to one of the sisters, who spoke to the Daily Telegraph, the sisters - of which there were eight in total - were on their way back to Hertfordshire from a meeting at a monastery in Notting Hill when they were caught on camera. “They had simply been to an important meeting in London,” Sister Fiona added.
