According to the State Election Commission, a total of seven candidates filed their nominations on the first day. Among the nominations filed, one each was received for the Lajpat Nagar and Molarband wards under the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. In the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, two nominations were received for Rohini (C) and one for Nangloi Jat ward. Two nominations were received for the East Delhi Municipal Corporation — one each for the Nand Nagri and Karawal Nagar (West) wards.
