A female in her teens is in Auckland City Hospital with serious chest injuries following the incident, while two patients were moderately injured. All three patients were transported to hospital by the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter, which arrived at the scene around 4.45pm. The car was believed to have rolled just before 4.25pm on the main stretch of the beach.
