Seven Lankan women cricketers afflicted by COVID-19 in Zimbabwe View(s):Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday confirmed that seven members of the national women’s team, including six players, tested positive for COVID-19 during the ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe, one of the countries where the new COVID-19 variant Omicron has been detected. The remainder of the Sri Lanka women’s team will now return via Dubai. Those who tested positive and the doctor on tour will stay back till they test negative. “Accordingly, our players, barring those who tested positive, will travel to Dubai and then to Sri Lanka.
