Seven Kwale executives sworn-in, three rejected by assembly

Seven executive committee members in Kwale County were on Monday sworn in after going through a thorough vetting by the county assembly. Governor Salim Mvurya lauded the assembly for fast-tracking the vetting process so that the executive members start work immediately. He noted that his government has had a good development record for the first term he was elected adding that he expects the cabinet to keep the record. At the same time, the governor appreciated Kwale people for maintaining peace during this stormy political period. He asked them to turn out in large numbers on October 26 and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta citing examples of his development record in the county.
