Settled In The Seventeenth Century, Nova Scotia's Wine Industry Has Only Just Begun

I reported a couple of months ago on the growing Vancouver Island wine industry on the West Coast of Canada. According to an article in Wines & Vines (W&V) Nova Scotia, on the East Coast, and the smallest winemaking region of Canada, is next in line for growth. Frank, Rimmerman & Co. LLP reports the Nova Scotia wine industry's 500,000 cases annually is a tiny part of Canada’s overall 21 million cases. The Wineries of Nova Scotia website claims its wine industry is responsible for generating a total $196 million in economic value. Based on all the claims and reports, it appears Nova Scotia is the next frontier in Canadian wine.
