PETALING JAYA: Opposition lawmaker Charles Santiago is calling for an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission to investigate officers who act above the law. He said this following the death of S.Bala Murugan, 44 who died in custody after being wrongfully arrested. "There were nineteen deaths in 2013 and four deaths in the first two months of 2014," he said. "Without fear and favour the police must create a special team to probe on the irresponsible custody death. Bala who was wrongfully taken into police custody on Monday had turned up in court severely injured on Tuesday.
