Motorists are asked to avoid the Tikitere area and follow diversions to get to Rotorua. A single-vehicle crash has closed a section of state highway near Rotorua. Emergency services were called to State Highway 30, Tikitere, Rotorua, around 3.30pm on Saturday. "Initial indications state that there are serious injuries," police said. Motorists are asked to avoid the area, and use State Highway 32 and then State Highway 2 if travelling to Rotorua.
