A man is going to be flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries after a truck crashed into a power pole on the Dipton-Winton Highway this afternoon. A police spokeswoman said they were called to the scene, just south of Dipton, about 1.10pm. The power pole was badly damaged. A St John spokeswoman said paramedics preparing the man to be taken to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter at just before 2.40pm. NZTA have issued a warning saying the road was down to one lane 2km south of Dipton because of the crash.
