State Highway 6 near the Wanaka Airport and Mount Barker Rd is shut after a crash on Thursday morning (file photo). Emergency services were called to State Highway 6 (SH6) between Wanaka and Luggate about 6.40am on Thursday. The one car crash was near the Wanaka Airport, between Mount Barker Rd and Stevenson Rd. An NZ Transport Agency statement said the road between Luggate and Wanaka was closed, between Mount Barker Rd and Morris Rd. Northbound traffic should turn left onto Mount Barker Rd, right onto Boundary Rd, continuing straight onto Morris Road then left back onto SH6.
