A person was seriously injured when a car crashed into a lamp post on Wakefield Quay in the early hours of Sunday morning. A police spokeswoman said the crash occurred at 12.15am, where a car collided with the post between Poynters Cres and Victoria Rd. The road was blocked and police were called to do traffic control. A St John incident report said one person was seriously injured and two had moderate injuries. The road was re-opened just before 2am.
