A serious crash on the northwestern motorway has closed the westbound lanes at Great North Road. A serious crash on Auckland's northwestern motorway has left a motorcyclist seriously injured and forced the partial closure of westbound lanes. Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Authority) said the westbound lanes were closed, from the Great North Road on-ramp to the Great North Road on-ramp, as of 8.30pm. The Serious Crash Unit is heading to the scene, police said. SUPPLIED/Stuff Traffic was slow along SH16 following a serious crash near Great North Road about 8pm, according to Google Maps live traffic data.
