Two helicopters are on their way to a serious crash in South Canterbury this afternoon. Police said initial indications were the two-vehicle crash in Tekapo-Twizel Rd on State Highway 8 had resulted in injuries. The crash was reported to police about 2.30pm. Motorists were asked to avoid the area. Emergency services were responding.
