Steven Stalley was convicted of raping three women and stalking nine others this week after a jury heard chilling evidence from his traumatised victims. Following his conviction it has been revealed that in May 2014, Stalley - who then lived in Renfrew - walked free over sex with a 14-year-old girl. (Image: PA)Giving evidence via video link at the High Court in Paisley, she said she had sex with Stalley at a flat in Paisley on June 1, 2012. The girl, who was 14 at the time, told the jury it became too painful so she asked Stalley to stop, but that he refused and continued. But after being told that Stalley thought she was 16, the jury cleared him of rape and the alternative charge of having sex with an underage girl.
