Monrovia – The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has hired eight graduates from the William V. S. Tubman University in Harper, Maryland County. The graduates were hired under the LEC Internship program, which provides employment opportunities to deserving students and graduates. The newly hired interns will serve as Engineers-In Training for a period of three years before integration into the LEC system. Mr. Ashley Intoned”The LEC is promoting a gender and social inclusion project and I am glad to see a female taking part in the internship program. I am however a bit disappointed to see a single female to seven males,” Mr. Ashley said.
