The DCP also directed cops to sensitise the officers to deal with cases of sexual assault with prudence: High CourtA city court has asked senior Delhi Police officers to sensitise their junior officers on how to deal with sexual assault cases, and to stick to the High Court directives while dealing with such cases. Metropolitan Magistrate Abhilash Malhotra passed the directive while slamming the police for not complying with its order to assess the threat perception and provide security to an alleged rape victim, who is now missing. "The DCP also directed cops to sensitise the officers to deal with cases of sexual assault with prudence," it said. This happened during a hearing of a complaint filed by a rape victim who tried to withdraw her complaint after the first hearing, without giving any reasons.
