Two staff sergeants and a veteran transit enforcement officer are the senior figures at the centre of an investigation into alleged workplace misconduct at the TTC’s special constable unit, the Star has learned. The third member is Bill Perivolaris, a unionized senior transit enforcement officer with 25 years’ experience. According to a former high-ranking member of the TTC’s transit enforcement unit, the tracking system for overtime hours is outdated and open to abuse. controversies related to workplace misconduct, racial discrimination and use of force have roiled the TTC enforcement department. Five people have served as permanent or acting head of the transit enforcement unit since 2017.
