Photo: NZ HeraldTwo senior police officers will be charged with kidnapping after the "mock arrest" of a teenage boy in a bid to end an underage relationship. "The investigation has been on-going for over 12 months and this has been an extremely stressful time for Inspector Dennis and his family. A second police officer, Sergeant Vaughan Perry, will also be charged as a party to the alleged kidnapping. Dennis was stood down September 2015 shortly after a complaint was laid by the teenage boy. He attended, with his parents, and was told he could be charged with a sex crime if he continued seeing the girl.
