Senior Rajasthan cadre IPS officer Indu Kumar Bhushan, who has been at the centre of several controversies including one where he openly questioned the knowledge of a state governor, has been compulsorily retired by the government, an official said on Wednesday. An officer of the 1989 batch, he was put on 'Awaiting Posting Orders' (APO) currently after which the orders of compulsory retirement were issued. Bhushan has been put on APO five times in his career that spanned nearly three decades. In November 2017, the Central Personnel and Training ministry had done profiling and evaluation of several IPS officers from Rajasthan over their work in connection with which the compulsory retirement orders were issued for Indu Kumar Bhushan.
