Some senior BNP leaders visited Hosna Ara Hossain, the mother of senior journalist Suman Mahmud, at a hospital in the capital on Saturday. BNP Standing Committee members Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, and Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam went to Square Hospital around 5:30 PM. They spoke with the on-duty physicians to inquire about Suman’s mother's treatment and also expressed their sympathy to the family members present. Hosna Ara Hossain, the mother of Suman Mahmud, a special correspondent of bdnews24.com, has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past two weeks due to various age-related complications. Previously, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who is currently in Australia, spoke with Suman over the phone to inquire about his mother’s health condition.
