Senegal stripped of AFCON title as Scotland teed up for World Cup clash with African champions MoroccoMorocco have retrospectively been crowned champions with Senegal deemed to have forfeitedView Image Players clash after Morocco were awarded a late penalty (Image: AP)Senegal have been stripped of their AFCON title after their controversial walk-off in the final against Morocco. And it means Scotland now face a World Cup clash against the champions of Africa... six months after they LOST the final. Senegal won a chaotic finale 1-0 back in January with Morocco losing out on home turf. The game was marred by wild scenes that saw the entire Senegal team leave the pitch in protest of a VAR penalty decision that went against them, only to return and resume the game. The Moroccans, of course, are in Scotland's section at the World Cup this summer and it means Steve Clarke and Co's second game on June 19 looks all the more box office.
