WASHINGTON—Sen. Martha McSally (R., Ariz.) said during a Senate hearing Wednesday that she was raped by a superior officer while she was serving in the Air Force. Ms. McSally, who was the first U.S. female fighter pilot to fly in combat, said she didn’t report the rape at the time and later considered leaving the military over its reaction to her disclosure about the attack. She served in the Air Force for 26 years.
