Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Krishna Kumari on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for removing Fayyazul Hassan Chohan as Punjab information minister. “[As a Hindu] it was heart-breaking for me to hear him castigate the Hindu community,” Kumari poured her heart out while talking to a local media outlet. Former information minister Chohan landed himself in hot water for terming Hindus as “cow-urine drinkers” while addressing a political gathering on February 24. A video of the incident went viral on the social media, receiving much backlash from the social media community and compelling the government to dismiss Chohan from his office. In his tenure as information minister, Chohan gained much media attraction for stirring controversies one after the other.
