Senator Solomon Ewuga, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, has refused the appointment given to him by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to lead the 2018 intending pilgrims team to Jerusalem. Governor Al-Makura appointed Senator Solomon to lead 170 intending pilgrims but there were speculations and rumours of defection surrounding the appointment by the PDP supporters in Nasarawa State. Meanwhile, Governor Tanko Al-Makura has on Friday during the farewell ceremony appoint pharmacy Luka Baba Payam, the Osu Karu to lead the team. The governor who was represented by his deputy Silas Ali Agara warned the intending pilgrims from absconding while in the holy land. He, however, charge intending pilgrims to be a good ambassador of the state and country at large.
