Share TweetBy Vanne Elaine TerrazolaThree Senate panels have recommended the approval of a bill that would create a National Transportation Safety Board (NSTB) to investigate all transportation-related accidents and ensure compliance with transport safety standards. Senate Bill 1077 has hurdled the Senate Committees on Public Services; Civil Service, Government Reorganization and Professional Regulation; and Finance. The NSTB shall submit to Congress its investigation within 60 days from completion. The NSTB shall be composed of seven members headed by a chairperson, who will have a term of five years and will have a rank of department secretary.
