Photo: GettyWASHINGTON—Senate leaders on Tuesday set up a pair of votes on dueling measures aimed at ending the partial government shutdown, as the standoff between President Trump and Democratic lawmakers stretched into its second month. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) announced an agreement to bring up the two bills quickly on Thursday, bypassing many of the chamber’s lengthy procedures.
