–House’s Speaker Says Her Good Transcended the GapsIn an elegy for the late Montserrado County Senator Geraldine Doe-Sherif, the Senate described her as a ‘very strong’ member of the Senate and said her memory will go on forever. On behalf of the Senate, President Pro Tempore Albert Chie said the fallen Senator’s presence was always felt when she was around, outspoken and was the “Second-in-Command” in the administrative structure of the Senate, as chairperson on the Committee on Executive, where she served four consecutive years, prior to her death. The Senate sadly eulogized the fallen Senator on Thursday, March 14, at the Rotunda of the Capitol Building in a Special Requiem for the Late Senator Geraldine Doe-Sherif. Former Montserrado County lawmaker, Ben Parten, on behalf of the Former Lawmakers Association, the Student Unification Party and Small Town Musical Group also eulogized the fallen Senator. Funeral rite will be said over the remains of the Honorable Geraldine Doe-Sheriff at the same venue beginning 11am, and will be followed by interment at the Kaizer Lawn Cemetery in Brewerville, Montserrado County.
