CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNSANBORNTON — At his first meeting after returning to the Sanbornton Board of Selectmen, Tom Salatiello made a point of standing up for the public’s right to know. Salatiello, who had previously served four terms as selectman, was elected this year through a write-in campaign, and he took his oath of office on Wednesday. With no second to the vice chairman nomination, North nominated herself as chairman, Salatiello seconded her motion, and the board elected her on a 2-1 vote, after which Olmstead was elected as vice chairman. Salatiello said he has no objections as long as the group is not looking to join in a Belknap County regionalization initiative. Later, in discussing goals and objectives, Salatiello said he wants to address what is happening with Belknap County government.
